The start finish line was full, but there were a lot of empty seats, I talked to someone who went to the race and they said lots of empty seats. But they hd a great time, and had room in front of them as the seats were empty.

Yes, attendance has become very poor at Chicagoland. There was a report at http://www.nascar.com about this same topic. As has been mentioned, the ticket policy is an attempt to gouge the race fans out of hard earned money and, the new track president is now looking into changing that same policy.

I'm a track pack holder and I've voiced my opinion of dis-satisfaction multiple times. I'm not an IRL fan, and the ARCA series is good but I wont plan a weekend around those races. Why should I be required to purchase those tickets in order to be sure I have my Nationwide and Cup tickets too?

They said there were 10,000 empty seats. They make you buy a package that includes IRL, ARCA, truck and Nationwide if you want a CUP ticket. The scalpers (they have been getting over $200 for mediocre seats for the Cup race, the package is like $190) and the ticket companies are selling the Cup only for the same price or higher than the package because they can get it (or have been up to now). Maybe they will figure out that people won't pay for races they aren't going to just to get the Cup ticket, that would make the tickets more affordable and keep the price down from the scalpers too.

Yea I though a lot of sections looked empty when I was watching the race. Near the Backstretch.

Many empty seats. Same at the Mile High NHRA Nationals last Sunday-half the seats were empty.

Many empty seats! Their ticket policy SUCKS! To buy tickets to the NASCAR races you are FORCED to buy for Indy and ARCA... Not on the same weekend... Not many that live outside the area are willing to throw away the extra money on tickets the can't use!

I watched it and it looked as if mostly every seat was full. I know it has took awhile for Nascar to catch on up North. But I think it looked Full.
