What is up with having to purchase the Arca tix package too? I was there 2 years ago & have no interest in arca or indy. What's up with this?

Yes, been there a few times. IMO, they sell the track passes because (almost) nobody wants to see the IRL races, but everyone wants to see NASCAR. By selling the track pass, they get their money.
There are usually people there selling tickets in the parking lot. A friend of mine bought a ticket for $20 right at the start/finish line 30 minutes prior to the race last year. I spent over $100 for mine and we were only a few rows away from each other!
The ARCA races are usually pretty good. And I think I read the Trucks are coming next year to Chicagoland.
Monkeys!

I've only been there once. The whole point of the package is mainly cause families can get good deals for the reason they are there: racing! Still a good deal in my opinion.

I was there 3 years ago, and I never heard of that. But most of the time, I just go to the track and buy tickets off someone..seems to be easier sometimes.
