My opinion: the boys that run dirt track or just as if not more talented than the ones that run nascar. They just don't get the credit they deserved and look at all the nascar drivers that is starting to TRY to run with the "BIG DOGS" on dirt and look where they are finishing. the boys on dirt don't have even half the technology equipment that those nascar drivers do, so why don't the nascar drivers finish in the top 5 in the BIG races on clay with all that technology. Asfault is just a smooth ride to the race track: BELIEVE THIS!!!!! Go Freddy, Rick E, and Bloomquist, ect.(many more GREAT drivers on the DIRT)

I agree...Dirt track racing is 10x more exciting than any NASCAR race, but I love both...

I went to Bristol with and without dirt, and if I remember right, the late model boys were running 12.20 something lap times on a half mile track! Pretty darn fast and about 3 seconds quicker than the cup boys.

Man I would go insane if NASCAR raced some dirt races like ARCA does only with late models.

Scott Bloomquist is my favorite but Freddy Smith can still drive, too lol.

I've raced on dirt and asphalt. I enjoy being on the dirt more. I can move my car around and make a bigger difference from the seat when the track conditions change. An asphalt track stays pretty much the same all race long. If the car is not right on asphalt, there are few things I can try to help things along, but it's not the same as dirt. I've seen Tony Stewart race a dirt late model. He could run with the best if he ran full time. Some drivers have the knack for running dirt, other drivers don't. I think being a good dirt racer helps when you run on asphalt, but being a good asphalt racer won't help one bit when you run on dirt.

Ok now put one of your boys in a race car and tell them they have to drive 200 laps instead of 20 in 90 degree heat at 190 mph while keeping the tires on the car. Let me know how Scott Bloomquist does with that. Which drivers are claiming to run with your so called big dogs? I haven't seen them. You're dreaming.

So what i'm getting from all of us's solutions is invoice Elliot is the quickest at a NASCAR experience with a ultimate velocity of 213 mph Rusty Wallace is the quickest at a NASCAR song with a ultimate velocity of 228 mph Russ Wicks is the quickest in a NASCAR spec race automobile with a ultimate velocity of 247 mph Viking i'm prepared on NHRA and get excitement from what they do yet they don't make turns, so comparing them to NASCAR is like comparing apples with oranges.

Its a very different type of racing. The setups, driving style, and techniques are different. Skill level aside those guys have a lot more knowledge on what works and what doesn't work on a dirt track.
