Yes i think the nascar track in bremerton washington should be accepted because it would bring in so much money. It would bring in enough money so we wouldnt have to pay taxes on it. The track will also bring other sporting events with is. They wouldnt just have nascar, they would have all kinds of extreme sports. They would probabily build a skate park for all u skaters. they probabily would build a r/c car track for all u r/c car drivers. They are going to build dirt tracks for the sprint cars and the monifieds. They will make a demo-derby arena for all kinds of activites like demos, dirtbikes, gocarts, and lawnmower racing. It is going to be right by the drag strip so theres double the fun. This would bring in alot of money so bremerton will be a fun town and not a boring place to be anymore.

I say screw Washington and get a date for the "Rock" or a second date for Darlington. But since the France family is all about money, I am sure that we will end up with a date in Washington. I guess that Goodyear will develop a rain tire just for that race!

Yes...The Washington area needs a track!!! It's obvious that the ones saying no because it rains all the time there, doesn't live here. If there were a track here the race dates would have to be after the first week of July and before the middle of September. Everyone thinks it rains all the time in Washington....well here is a little secret....IT DOESN'T RAIN ALL THE TIME IN WASHINGTON!!!! NASCAR just has to make sure they pick the right time of the year to run a race here. August would be the best time and by no means have a race in March or April. The people of Kitsap county doesn't want a track...they don't know what they are missing out on. But Lewis county would like to have a track built there. I miss the racing at The Rock, it was one of my favorite tracks. They can take a race from one of the tracks that have 2 races and give one to Washington. Us here in Washington love Cup racing and would love to have a track closer to us. GOOOOOOOO KASEY!!!!

A track is assured of bringing in money to the local economy, but where did all this other stuff come from. Skate Park, r/c car track, demolition derby arena, and dirt tracks. That is a huge investment by someone to make Bremerton a racing town, and I only know of a few places where they have all of those and all of them are used on a continuos basis by not just locals but by national racing associations, Indy is one of those places. I think if a race is given your going to be disappointed because a lot of what you think is going to happen is not going to happen. Its a nice thought but a town doesnt become a mecca to racing just because they build a bunch of tracks, what about demographics or the actual want of a track and to be overran 2-3 times a year with race fans. I am sure that the northwest part of the US can hold a race, I know open wheel runs in Portland, I just dont think everything you expect to happen would happen.

Right now,no.

There are too many tracks and not enough dates to race.Unlike the "old" era of NASCAR where the teams/drivers would race a "minor"NASCAR event on a Tuesday ,Wednesday,or Thursday night at a small track today this is not possable because of drive/team commitments.Testing.Money.

Sorry but unless Nascar starts a new "cup" circut or one of the tracks in the west give up a date then at this time it is not a good idea for another track.

That's all I have to say about that.

No. I am from a racing family in Washington state and Bremerton is a terrible place for a track. There is only one major freeway that can get fans from Seattle to this area, but they have to drive around Puget Sound (through Tacoma) to get there. The only other way to get there is via a ferry, which will be too full to handle all of the traffic.

They need to put the track near the mainland of Seattle. If they do, the track will be a hit and will attrack fans from Canada and all over the Northwest.

Yes. I think they should cut down on a couple of tracks that have 2 races per season and make some new ones. There really aren't any races close to Washington state. The closest would be Vegas, but that is still a fair distance.

I would be FOR a new track, just about anywhere.

But not a new ISC race track.

ISC is a subsidiary[sp?] of NASCAR. And NASCAR wants to OWN all of the tracks that NASCAR races are held on.

I cannot express how bad this would be for the sport.

Rather like the COT, untill COT there was atleast SOME vestage of manufacturer competition. [p.s. COT is NASCAR owned]. So will it be with the tracks.

Someday, only NASCAR hotdogs and NASCAR beer will be available at the NASCAR tracks where the NASCAR cars are raced by NASCAR robots.

So, just say NO! to ANY ISC racetrack!!!

No Bremerton is too rainy for a nascar track. It would constantly be rained out (irritating!!) They should build one in eastern washington or idaho if they want to put one in the northwest of USA.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/motor/nascar/2005-06-11-montreal-track_x.htm

this is my opinion and my opinion only...

i would think since NASCAR wants to expand, Busch is in Mexico City, i would rather NASCAR race there (see link) 1 race a year. It would be just as far for most teams (Carolinas) to Montreal than Washington State. They are more welcomed to come there since Canada already has there copy of NASCAR; the CASCAR.

and "fc2 l" has a point with his statement too !

No, the weather always sucks in Wa. As far as building a sports complex that does not involve Nascar, I say GO For IT!
