Was that last lap at Watkins Glen this weekend the last we will ever see of what Stock Car Racing used to be?

I realize that NASCAR should have called a caution for oil of the track the last two laps at Watkins Glen this weekend, but, that last lap was the first one that has looked like real Stock Car Racing in many years.

NASCAR is dying and everyone knows why. The two most hyped and written about drivers are the loser twins Danica and Dale Jr.
As long as NASCAR concentrates everything on drivers that can't win, but can sell stuff, the series will have no respect and just die off.

Yes, that last lap at the glen was a perfect example of what good stock car racing is all about. Nowadays, though, it seems like most drivers can't battle it out like Marcos and Brad did without somebody going ape sh*t and plowing someone into the wall.
Will it be the last? No, but it is rare.

Nascar has become a "manufactured" racing series! Want to see real racing? Go to your local Dirt track.

If you mean do I want to see a track covered with oil
be the deciding factor in a race, then I hope it is.
I'm with Stewart, Gordon, Johnson, Busch, Junior on this.

I'd personally wait and see what happens with the 2013 cars before I say that.

No. But it sure makes you feel that way in the Cup Series. Makes you wanna go to your local dirt track, doesn't it?
...go to your local dirt track...
