i just don't understand it. it's ok if someone doesn't like a driver but why would they wish for him to wreck or why would they wish he would have gotten hurt. that's just wrong. i saw an answer on a question that said nascar had to clean up that idiot gordon's mess and it also said that it's about time that he took a hard hit. i think it's wrong to wish that on someone.

Give me your opinion

It is the worst feeling in the world when you personally go to a race and your driver crashed (mine being Jeff Gordon). A lot of fans stand up and cheer and carry on and it makes me sick to my stomach. I may not like certain drivers but you'll never see me standing up cheering when someone crashes, it's tasteless and disrespectful

Wrecks are part of NASCAR but to cheer when a driver you hate & I have heard fans say wish they would have gotten hurt is cruel & mean, but if someone were to say that about Earnhardt Jr, a very popular driver, that person would get reported. I wish no racer to get hurt in NASCAR even the ones I don't like, Earnhardt, Stewart, Harvick & Kurt Busch.

I'll admit, I don't care for Jeff Gordon.

One thing I hate to see though is a wreck, I am an old NASCAR fan going back to the late 60's. To me it is wrong to wish that on anyone, that they wreck. I've seen to many people hurt, or killed in those wrecks.

A lot of new fans only go to the races to see the wrecks, and get drunk.

No fans should be happy when a driver wrecks regardless of whether or not they like the driver. The drivers know that their sport is a risky one and the risk they take every time getting into a race car is that they will be safe and will be able to race the next time they are involved in a wreck.

Gordon took a huge a hit and I'm glad he's okay.

For people to vent in an open forum, not face to face is at best COWARDLY.

We have a word for them in my end of the world. Internet snipers, or Cyber jug-heads.

They would never make a comment to anyones face, but put them behind a computer and all of a sudden they are an expert on everything and hate everyone.

It always makes me wonder how many NASCAR haters out there have never been to a race.

I expressed my opinion in that question. It's sickening that people can sit there, wishing that another human being will get hurt! I'm not a Gordon fan, at all, but when I saw that hard hit, I sat here and prayed that he was ok. I don't care how much I don't like someone; I'm not going to sit here and say that I want them to get hurt.

We don't like that attitude of people who are glad when someone wrecks their car - we aren't Gordon fans but we certainly don't ever want to see some one get injured. When I first started to chat online with NASCAR folks, I found some idiotic fool who praised the day Dale Sr. died in his accident - I cancelled my whole deal and went elsewhere. These people don't have opinions, they have a sickness.

ok smart one, you clarify why J Gordon deserved to be wrecked. and that i don't recommend in view which you're an Eanrhart fan, yet purely why??? additionally, Raines couldn'tcontinual a nail, not to show a race vehicle.

I think that's sad. What's even sadder is that YA lets one ask that question yet when I post an answer against the #88 car the Jr. Nation reports me. What's worse? Being glad somebody wrecked or saying that a driver has no skills? Try to figure that one out!!!!!!!

The thought process of some fans is hard to understand.Though not a Gordon fan myself I do not want to see him injured.then as far as wrecks that is a part of racing and the wreck Sunday was the result of hard racing and just plan out running out of track.

This wreck also shows a design flaw in the track, that being the lack of safer barrier in the opening at that part of the track.

It's jealousy, people were tired of seeing him and Hendrick dominate that they jump on the 1st opportunity to make comments. Same thing with Johnson, people are talking alot, but it's way too early in the season for that. Jeff Gordon is a great driver and will make a great comeback. GO HENDRICK!!

I was there I heard it and saw it, man that was one hard hit.TV sorry, doesn't sound or show it like it really is, Jeff is in great shape he is fine, I was so glad to see him get out that car, he is fine....I'm a Dale Jr fan, yes there are some sicko's out there that hate Jeff G, well pooohy on you.. I never want to see any driver hurt, Jeff Gordon is fine, and ready to race in Atlanta next weekend, he's gonna be alittle sore in the morning, but thanks to the safety wonders in these cars, but Nascar look at the inside safety barriers as well, get them like the ones on the track.. Dang this was one hard it. and I'm glad Jeff is okay..

I'm not even a NasCab fan ( mostly because of all the wrecks and slow cars) and I think Jeff Gordon is a geeky, cry baby wuss......However, for anyone to WISH or be HAPPY to see ANY racer in ANY series wreck and possibly get hurt is not a true race fan....PERIOD.....they ought to just watch that fake wrestling crap and cheer for those idiots to get hurt!!

For someone to wish that a driver would get hurt in a wreck is just wrong.More like morbid and heartless.

It doesn't matter if you like them as a driver or not .They are human's first.

First off I'm glad he's okay.

Now.

As far as seeing him wreck? It shut all the Jr bashers up.

Now. Back to Gordon.

He did take a large hit in the wall. They should really look at safer barriers on the inside wall of all tracks as well as the outside walls. Today we could have lost another one of the sport's finest. That doesn't need to happen again.

I wish he hadn't hurt Kenseth's chances but each time Jeff Gordon wrecks or has a bad working car (as long as he isn't hurt, I am not THAT callous) I am a happy camper!!!

I HATE CARL EDWARDS...BUT I don't want him to get hurt unless of course someone punched him in the mouth!

Nascar fans r so rapped up in the emotion of it all they sometimes get carried away.I too feel that way but in the heat of the moment, stupid say stupid things.

I think a lot of these people wouldn't make comments like that to Gordon's face. The fact that they can do so anonymously emboldens people to say outrageous, scurrilous things knowing that there will be no consequences for their actions. I would say that all of these haters need a check up from the neck up.

They are sick, pure and simple & they have never driven a hot rod, unless you count "pushing" the SUV to 35 mph in the 25 mph zone on their street. A more direct hit....I am afraid what would have happened.

Some people just has to bash, but look at from my opinion. Those who would wish or bash other's for no good reason (if there really is a a reason to be concidered good), is only bashing themselve's. Showing their true colors and type of character they are just proves just how low life they are.

They have no idea how difficult it is to drive at that high of a speed, how dangerous it is to be in a wreck, and they shouldnt be happy if they knew all that

I'm glad he wasn't seriously injured... but that was a dumb move on Gordons part, for starting the mess to begin with.

He was pedaling the car for a 1/4 mi. down the trac.

He should of just lifted a little, and let My Man Matt,go on by!!

Let your boy Jr. try and win on his OWN,the next time GORDY BOY !!

They don't typically wish for them to get injured, just for something to happen to their car. At least people I know feel that way. I typically wish for blown engines. Much safer :)
